
Leeds Town Hall is the stage for the Leeds vintage fashion fair that takes place on Sunday 3 October between 9.30am and 4.30pm, with entry priced at £3. The fair will feature over 60 different unique designers with vintage clothing and accessories from the 1900’s-1980’s on sale.

Ahead of the Leeds Festival, the first ever Festival fringe event will run for 7 nights between 19 – 25 August. There are already a host of bands confirmed for the events, which are being staged at Carpe Diem, Royal Park Cellars, The Well and The Dry Dock with the majority having free entry.

The urban story walks take place on the last Saturday of the month, until October. Joseph Collins will be leading a walk around Granary Wharf and the dark arches on 31 July. The walk will cover the newly developed part of the city, discussing the history and myths of the area. Tickets cost £6.

Today I took my nephew to Tropical World and Roundhay Park and what a great place it is. Roundhay Park has lots to offer both for kids and adults. There’s loads of great open spaces to relax, or play sports, picnics and family friendly. This is a photo I took of Canal Gardens.

The longest running West Indian carnival in Europe takes place this year on 30 August at Potternewton park. Now in its 43rd year, the event is free to attend and will take place across the Chapeltown and Harehills areas with around 150,000 people expected to attend the event.
