Looking for somewhere new for lunch in the city centre? Well, The Greedy Pig on 58 North Street came under new management a short time ago. Sandwiches include the popular Hog Roast with their own Apple and Chilli relish, which sounds delicious. Drop by this cafe and support Jo and Stuart.

Tonight I attended my first Clandestine Cake club at Primos in the Corn Exchange. A great turn out and wow the cakes. I’m healthy eating, or trying to, and the savoury cakes were delicious. Very well organised event where you can bake at home, share your creation, then try other member’s cakes and socialise.

The other day I enjoyed lunch at Salt’s Delicatessen in their new store located in The Light shopping centre, situated opposite the entrance to the Radisson Blu Hotel at the Cookridge Street entrance. Recommended is the Yorkshire grain fed free range roast chicken salad sandwich.

Today’s featured local independent business is The Cheerful Chilli, a restaurant and tearoom in the market town of Otley. After a walk around the Chevin treat yourself to a meal or a cup of tea and a slice of cake. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday, and the tearoom is open Saturday and Sunday.
