My Leeds real ale pub crawl night out

Leeds real ale pub crawl

Last night I decided to head towards Holbeck Urban village area with a few friends, for a short real ale pub crawl. The real ale was good, and the walk between each pub was just the right distance to work off the excess food and drink.

The route was the Hop, Midnight Bell, Cross Keys, and The Grove. You could add on Scarborough Tap, and Brewery Tap on to the route, but we ran out of time. My favourite was Midnight Bell. Did we miss out any pubs that you would have added into the real ale pub crawl.

Leeds granary wharf waterfront in spring

Leeds granary wharf waterfront in spring

I took this picture of the Leeds waterfront, granary wharf, this weekend. I have no idea what the round tower is called next to the Leeds City Inn, does anyone know? I love the mix up of different styles of architecture. We’ll be publishing a number of Leeds waterfront guides in the coming weeks, so watch this space.

Inside the Leeds Corn Exchange

Inside the Leeds Corn Exchange

I think it is such a shame what has happened to the Leeds Corn Exchange, but it’s good to hear that the first floor is now fully rented out. It’s a magnificent building, inside and out, and I hope we’ll see a return of the busy Corn Exchange it once was.

Sunday morning walk around Kirkstall Abbey

Sunday morning walk around Kirkstall Abbey

I woke up to the sunshine peeking through my bedroom blinds, so I jumped out of bed, and headed to Kirkstall Abbey. Nothing better than freshair and a walk on a Sunday morning to blow off the cobwebs. Gorgeous morning, a bit cold, but I wasn’t staying in bed when it was sunny outside.
