
Twenty-six contemporary British artists will come together in ‘Glamourie’ a new exhibition at Project Space Leeds until 31 March 2012. Entrance is free. The exhibition will showcase some of the most interesting artists currently practicing in the United Kingdom.

Compass Festival of Live Art takes place on 25-27 November. The programme includes ‘The Speech Maker’, a 12 hour performance at the Town Hall Courtrooms and ‘The Last Supper’, with an intimate audience of 39 at the Playhouse. Other venues for live art include Leeds markets and Leeds Bridge.

Love Arts Festival explores the role of the arts in relation to mental health and well-being. The festival runs from 27 September to 16 November 2011 at various venues across the city and features art exhibitions, theatre, music events and much more.

On Saturday 20 August, 1.30-4pm, explore the ways we think about visiting far-away lands and foreign climes and create souvenirs from places you may never see by transforming postcards of familiar sights with paint, pen or collage. The workshop is for all ages and levels of ability.

Visit the Heart enterprise and art centre in Headingley up to the 29 July to view an exhibition of paintings of trees and buildings in Headingley, Woodhouse and Meanwood by Jonathan Hooper. Entrance is free, and the exhibition is located on the ground floor.
