The critically acclaimed video installation Five Truths heads to the Howard Assembly Room, in its first showing outside of London. The installation, which runs from 14- 25 February, transforms the arts venue, programmed by Opera North, into a free public gallery. Oh, and entrance is free.

Multi award-winning Edinburgh Fringe favourites Theatre Ad Infinitum will be bringing their production, The Big Smoke, to the Carriageworks on 9 June at 7.45pm. The Big Smoke is a one-woman show. Sung a cappella throughout, and with its roots in a jazzy style. Tickets are priced £9 with £7 for concessions.

Northern Broadsides are performing Shakespeare’s Hamlet at the West Yorkshire Playhouse 19 – 23 April and 26-30 April with performances every night at 7.30pm and matinees on Thursdays at 1.30 and Saturdays at 2.00pm. Tickets are £16-£26.

The Grand Theatre is offering tours as part of their Heritage Learning programme on 20 May and 17 June. The tours will go backstage where you can see the history of the theatre from 1878 to the present day. Tickets are £4 for an adult and £3 for a child.
