Party and Opera in the Park tickets up for grabs
Head to Millennium Square tomorrow, between 10am – 2pm, to get tickets for this year’s Party and Opera in the Park at Temple Newsam. Tickets are free, but a maximum of 4 tickets per person will be allowed. There’s no information yet to where you can get tickets after the launch event, but watch this space.

Help raise money for Leeds charities at Livebait
Leeds restaurant, Livebait, is opening its doors to a charity event on Tuesday 1 June from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. It’ll only cost you £5 for an evening of entertainment and canapés. All proceeds collected are being donated to St. Gemma’s Hospice and Sue Ryder’s Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.

Yorkshire Cricket Mela
Leeds will be host to fans of Australia and Pakistan cricket teams this summer with the 2nd MCC Cricket Test Match at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground between the 21 – 25 July. Events will take place throughout Yorkshire Cricket Mela, during, what should be a thrilling test match.

Leeds Shakespeare Festival 2010
Apologies – I understood that this event was taking place in July/August from the information provided by Visit Leeds, but I understand from the tour company that they will not be playing at Kirkstall Abbey this year. If the event takes place in the future we will update this post.
