This blog focuses on events and things that are happening in the city. Since I started to write it, I am amazed just how much goes on in the city that as a local, I did not know existed. So, my aim is to try and feature as many events as I can. It’s free to submit your Leeds event.

OK Karaoke have launched their iPhone/iPod app. The free download gives users regular news updates as well as offers, booking availability, bar reviews, live performances, current No 1 singles, maps and menus. It’ll be interesting to see if more Leeds bars, restaurants and tourist attractions create apps.

This week I found out about a free iPhone / iPod app for Victoria Quarter in Leeds. The app features news, and special offers from the stores located in the shopping centre. The store locator is also useful to find the shops and includes information like opening times.

I have 3 copies of Frommer’s ‘England with your Family’ guide book to give away (we are mentioned in it!) and all you have to do is join us on Facebook. I will choose three people from random on the 16 June. The book is a great guide for families and there is a video to find out more about this series of books.
