Comment Policy

We encourage open discussion on everything discussion on this site. We welcome your thoughts and opinions and are happy that you care enough to share them with our community.

Please read this comments policy prior to posting your comment, because we will edit or delete any comment that we feel does not meet the comments policy as laid out below.

The policy

When you do leave a comment, we will have to approve it before it is published. We do this mainly to ensure that you’re not a spammer. You’d be surprised at how much spam this site receives.

We will delete any comment if the intention was to attack, denigrate, diminish, harm or cause upset to an individual, group or the intention was to troll or hijack the conversation, especially if the comment is libellous.

Please stay on-topic. We know it’s not always easy but it is important to keep the discussion flowing.

We do not allow comments that reveal personal information such as telephone and email addresses or any other such info.

The name field is for your name, not the SEO-boosting anchor text. Nicknames are fine, though like most people I prefer real names, and anyone using a blatant keyword-grab (”Leeds Hotels”) will be edited to match their email name or marked as spam.

On-topic links are encouraged; comment “signatures” or random links just to promote your stuff will be removed.

Comments in uppercase, or not readable will either be edited or deleted.

Email addresses are required for commenting, and they are not published on the blog, nor shared. They may be used by me to privately contact the commenter.

Anyone who violates this comments policy may be blocked from future access and/or commenting on this blog without warning.

Dealing with spam

We use strict moderation along with Akismet to reduce my spam. Occasionally, it seems some comments have been mistaken as spam. If you think this has happened to you then please do contact me.

Keep in touch

Please check back often and respond to your comments, or you can subscribe to the post by clicking on the tick box in the comment form. Whenever anyone writes a new comment you will receive a notification in your email inbox. You can unsubscribe at anytime.
