The Queens hotel first opened in 1937 and it is one of the best located hotels, directly next door to Leeds train station and within walking distance of every attraction within the city centre. One of the advantages of staying at the Queens is that unlike many of the hotels within the city centre, it is a very large hotel offering 217 rooms making it easier to secure a booking without advance notice.

There are six different types of rooms available at the hotel: double room, flexi room, single room, Qsaver double, deluxe double room, and flexi twin, all of which come in both smoking and non-smoking. Throughout the hotel are lounges and private spaces for both smokers and non-smokers.

The Queens hotel has a bar, restaurant, luggage valets, air conditioning, room service, a business centre, dry cleaning services, currency exchange, and photocopying. Wireless internet access is available. Causal lunch and a buffet breakfast are provided daily, with a contemporary menu for dinners on the weekends. Additionally, there is also a fitness centre on the premises.
The rooms are decorated in subtle maroon or tan tones with luminous bed spreads and wide valise curtains that hang to the floor. Solid wood trimmings adorn the beds and desks are provided in each room along with a television and a bathroom equipped with a shower. Check in begins at 2pm and checkout is at 11am although arrangements can be made in advance if needed.

You’ll find the Old Post Office building, which is now home to the Bar & Grill, and Loch Fyne restaurants.
